I would have to have my toes broken and remade into the correct shape to wear those! Now, I do remember my brothers wearing them. We used to refer to pointy toed cowboy boots as winkle pickers too!
i betcha could kill a lot of spiders with those. i stopped killing spiders, though, awhile ago, out of some perverse Jainist guilt.
